CONCERT I - Friday, August 26 at 7:30 p.m., OTESAGA HOTEL, Cooperstown

Featuring Vivaldi’s Double Trumpet Concerto: Carleton Clay and Ben Aldridge, soloists.  Since my arrival in 1973, Carleton Clay has been the Principal trumpet of the CSO and since the arrival of Ben Aldridge in 1975, the two have served the CSO with outstanding musicianship at the highest level of professionalism. This opening concert of our 38^th season will spotlight these extraordinary musicians with concerti and other works that span three centuries as well as several favorite works for strings. This concert has gotten so popular that we are now in our twelfth season! The famous Concerto for Two Trumpets (Antonio Vivaldi) will anchor this program.
